In a case pitting a lawyer against her former law firm and its successor, Lang Legal obtained a jury verdict for breach of contract and attorney’s fees. The case attracted attention because of the prominence of the parties involved. For example, the defendant’s lead witness was former Georgia Attorney General Michael Bowers.

Office Depot v. ELPF Howell Mill
When a tenant claimed a landlord had breached an exclusivity provision of a lease and began to withhold full rent, Lang Legal was successful in obtaining summary judgment for the landlord, resulting from the tenant’s execution of an “estoppel certificate.” The case received attention because the Court of Appeals clarified the effect of estoppel certificates.
